A few of my business talents and Super Powers are:
On the surface my company, Inspired 4 U Publications, helps you publish your books for the world at large or just for your family, friends or own reading pleasure. But what we really do is transform your manuscript into a polished professional product to promote your brand, create an income stream, establish credibility, increase self-worth and strengthen your faith through the process. We offer intuitive, personal and practical guidance that will result in an authentic and beautifully displayed expression of you and your message; and we also empower you with the knowledge to do it yourself in excellence if you so desire.
I kicked fear’s booty and made a 'Phoenix Move' when I said, “Yes!” to a sister-friend who insisted that I edit her manuscript, saying that Spirit said I was to do it. Although I had edited several types of documents over the years and was very good at helping people express themselves, I was resistant to her request due to fear and uncertainty about my ability to edit the magnitude of a ‘book’. This was new level stuff. But I reluctantly accepted the challenge and was so glad I did because when I read it, I strongly urged her to cease selling copies of the book until I was through.
My catalyst moment in business happened because in January 2014 while writing my third book about ‘how to self-publish’, I decided to publish it through my own company and created a publisher imprint to my LLC. December 2013 had ended with me being physically sick with a respiratory ailment that I hadn’t had in four years. Not being 100% committed to myself or my business, straddling the fence of faith with too much going on at once that was not dedicated to building my vision and the need to de-clutter my space manifested into and old recurring illness that incapacitated me to the point I could not honor a short term work assignment I had committed to.
I am passionate about helping people publish their story, message, instructions, collection, or whatever God has downloaded in their spirit to impact the lives of others. I believe that we all have a story and that our life experiences were not just for us, but were divinely allowed for us to go through and overcome to help someone else. I also believe that when we tell our truth out loud, we free ourselves and heal on deeper levels, while giving others permission to do the same.
In order to effectively communicate who you are and what you do as a business and attract your ideal customers and clients, you will need to define and clarify your brand. I used the Brand Story Challenge to help me achieve that goal last year with my main brand name, Inspired 4 U Ministries LLC. The Brand Story Challenge, created by Strategic Brand Advisor Jennifer Kem, is 10 days of high-power prompts that help you tell your unique story and get, seen, heard and paid. I’m a grateful witness, participate and a beneficiary of its results!
This insightful author interview, conducted by Rev. Kelli Jareaux for the Inner Visions Full Life Online Fellowship, discusses my three-volume series, Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life, and the importance of doing the inner-work required to heal pain, move forward, and live your truth. The audio replay version of this sharing on The Love Journey Inc prayer, praise and inspiration conference call is also included, in the video at the end of this blog post.
For September releases, I worked into the wee hours of many mornings completing volumes 2 and 3 of my “Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life” series and client Malik Canty’s book, “Tears For My Ancestors.” As CEO of both Inspired 4 U Ministries, LLC and imprint Inspired 4 U Publications, plus participation in three coaching programs and their “homework” assignments, it was an exhausting labor of love to publish on schedule.
I am pleased to announce the publication of my 4th book, “How To Uncover, Heal & Release Painful Life Experiences,” volume 1 of the 3-part series, Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life. If you’ve ever struggled with the shame and pain of past experiences and need to heal on a deeper level, read the effective tips and techniques in this collection of “How To” articles; plus some of my personal life experiences that include topics such as forgiveness, conquering internal conflict, and seasons of struggle.
On February 6, I initiated a website and domain transfer for both my primary “inspired4uministries.com” and my secondary “joannemeekins.com” websites to a new web host, HostGator.com. This process that I was very new to, created a ripple effect of technical challenges and lack of website public access that I had not considered. Many of the links on my secondary site, especially on my 'Services' page, were linked to my primary site.
