INTERVIEW with AUTHOR JO ANNE MEEKINS
Q: How was the “Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life” series conceived, what was the birth process like, and how did you decide to share these lessons with the world? A: As one of the speakers for an event, I was challenged to come up with a product offering to share during my 4 Divas For Divas presentation. In my brainstorming and preparation, I realized that I had enough written “how to” articles to categorize into three books that signified my life experience, and reflected my core beliefs and message to the world. The results were the “Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life” 3-volume series:
The series title was birthed out of my passion, which was derived from the pain of living much of my life feeling voiceless, undervalued and victimized. I always sensed that the traumatic experiences I encountered were not just for me, but were also to live through, learn from, and then encourage others in similar circumstances. In learning to tell my truth out loud, my purpose was revealed and unfolded into me becoming a facilitator of healing, growth and transformation in others. Q: What is your goal in sharing and what is the outcome you expect to experience in the world? A: My goal in sharing is to:
My expected outcome is to experience global success of my inspirational books as facilitators of increased hope, healing, growth, transformation and empowerment in the lives of others. Q: You have written six books to date, how do you keep the flow of Spirit coming through you? A: I surrender to Spirit in complete trust that He is my unlimited creative Source, who will always supply me with the message and words He wants conveyed. All of my articles and books are written by first getting still and quiet, and then asking God what He wants me to say. There was a time when I was fearful that I would run out of creativity, but God proved His faithfulness in honoring my gift and dissolving my fear. Now I “expect” Spirit to provide the inspiration and hold Him accountable for the results, hence my “Inspired 4 U” brand. I’m on divine assignment to ‘write down clearly what He reveals to me, so it can be read at a glance.’ (Habakkuk 2:2) Q: How have the tools and techniques in this series impacted you and what guidance on using the books do you have for others who might be interested in purchasing it? A: They taught me how to uncover traumatic past events that affected my thinking and blocked the manifestation of present desires; and how to forgive and reconcile relationships even beyond the grave; I also learned how to love and value myself as much as I do others, and am reminded of what to do to keep going whenever I feel like giving up. The results of using them, as shared in the books, deeply inspire and uplift me through the review of where I’ve been, what I overcame, and God’s omnipresent love and faithfulness through the journey. I advise purchasers to apply what they read; it will work if you work it. Each book stands alone in its own right, but together they provide divine insights toward complete healing and wholeness in critical life areas on every level of being. Whether you buy one volume or all three, read and incorporate the tips, tools, and techniques into your daily living or on a consistent basis. Q: For others who might be seeking to heal, persevere, increase spiritual intimacy and love of self, will you offer a few tips? A: Yes, gladly.
Q: If you had to sum up the overall message that Spirit is conveying through the book series what would it be? A: Spirit’s overall message is that there are spiritual tools and techniques designed to help you live victoriously, regardless of past experiences. Practicing them consistently can help you heal emotional pain; persevere through any struggle; and experience oneness with God and value of yourself with love and acceptance. And also, that the key elements to living free, joy-filled, peaceful, and empowered lives are “Love, Forgiveness and Gratitude.” Q: How can we get the “Living a Vocal, Valued and Victorious Life” series and are you working on any new book projects? A: Both paperback and kindle editions of all three volumes are available on Amazon, as well as on my website. If you’re interested in updates, contact me or connect with me on my social media accounts:
Q: Are there any final words you’d like to share with us or any questions I haven’t asked that you’d like to answer? A: Yes I would, thank you. To everyone reading this interview, remember to count it a joy and grow in God as you press forward through this life. Stand on God’s everlasting word and hold on because He guarantees deliverance. God is able; and even if He does not do it in your way and time-frame, still trust, serve, and consider it already done. Be confident that He is always present with you and your best is yet to come. He is unfolding a good and prosperous plan and if you stay the course and follow his instruction, God’s blessing will chase you down and overtake you, and make you rich without sorrow.
”The Lord’s blessing is our greatest wealth. All our work adds nothing to it!”
